Welcome to the South Carolina Sex Offender Registry!

The South Carolina Sex Offender Registry provides public access to information about individuals required to register under South Carolina law. This website allows users to search by name or geographic location and view available registry information, including photographs, aliases, reported addresses, map locations, and information about offenses associated with an individual’s registration.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division maintains the registry in coordination with county sheriffs’ offices. Registry information is updated regularly; however, information can change quickly. Users should review the Conditions of Use below before accessing or relying upon information provided through this website.

Community Notifications

Members of the public may register to receive community notifications through this website. To register:

1. Review the Conditions of Use below and select “I Agree.”
2. Enter the verification code displayed on the next page and select “Continue.”
3. Select “Community Notifications.”
4. Complete the “Register for Community Notifications” section and accept the Agreement Terms.
Conditions of Use:
• South Carolina county sheriffs’ offices and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division update registry information regularly and endeavor to keep the information as complete and accurate as possible. However, registry information can change quickly. Some information is reported by registered sex offenders as required by law and may not have been independently verified by law enforcement at the time it is published. Information displayed on this website is information of record and may not reflect a registrant’s current residence, status, or other current information.

• Individuals are included in the registry because applicable law requires registration based on a qualifying conviction or adjudication. The purpose of making this information available online is to provide public access to registry information and not to warn that any particular individual presents a current threat or will commit another offense.

• South Carolina law requires the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to develop and maintain the Sex Offender Registry. The registry is intended to promote public health, welfare, and safety and to assist law enforcement in investigating criminal offenses. These statutory provisions are not intended to violate the constitutional rights of individuals required to register.

• The following WARNING is provided pursuant to S.C. Code § 23-3-510:

A person who commits a criminal offense using information from the sex offender registry disclosed to him pursuant to Section 23-3-490, upon conviction, must be punished as follows:

(1) For a misdemeanor offense, the maximum fine prescribed by law for the offense may be increased by not more than one thousand dollars, and the maximum term of imprisonment prescribed by law for the offense may be increased by not more than six months.

(2) For a felony offense, the maximum term of imprisonment prescribed by law for the offense may be increased by not more than five years.


• Information obtained from this website must not be used to unlawfully injure, harass, threaten, or commit a crime against any individual identified in the registry or any person residing or working at a reported address. Misuse of registry information may result in civil or criminal penalties.
